Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen the family relationship. It provides free counselling, medication, relationship counselling and parenting programs.

RAV support Aboriginal-led agreements in Victoria and recognise that self-determination is foundational to any successful and meaningful partnership with Aboriginal communities in Victoria.
RAV are committed to growing cultural competency across our services and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ lived experiences of the Stolen Generations and institutional abuse.
RAV are committed to promoting and ensuring culturally safe access to our services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities.

Relationships Australia Victoria hold 75yrs experience in relationship counselling and have broaden services to include, Family, individual, child and youth services across the state of Victoria.  Within our Gippsland region we provide such services as couples counselling including Single Session approach, Prepare and Enrich program, individual, family, child and youth counselling.  Family Dispute Resolution is available from our Traralgon Centre location but also Gippsland wide via telehealth.  Connect Me – outreach 4-11yr old Counselling and Therapeutic Case Management services is a free counselling service across the Gippsland region provided in schools and early education centres.

I-Connect is an Early intervention mental health free service for East Gippsland for 0-18yrs.

Relationships Australia Victoria are also the lead agency for Headspace Services based in Bairnsdale, Sale and Wonthaggi and the newly opened service of YES (Youth Enhancement Service) for all of Gippsland
