foster and Toora Medical Centres have been providing health care to their community for more than half a century. Originally established by Dr Robbie Fleming in 1952, we have always been a procedurally-based practice; we enjoy a strong association with the South Gippsland Hospital where we continue to provide an active obstetric service, surgery and anaesthetics, inpatient care and a 24/7 Urgent Care service.
We also have a rich history of teaching: medical students, junior and senior registrars as well as overseas-trained doctors.
We have a firm commitment to providing high quality, comprehensive, rurally-based medical care to our community and continue to strive for excellence in this constantly challenging and hugely rewarding field.
