Supporting Recovery: Trauma-informed mental health therapeutic services for victim-survivors

The tender opportunity for the Supporting Recovery – Trauma-informed Mental Health Therapeutic services has now closed and applications are currently under evaluation.

Contracts are expected to be awarded in April 2024.Gippsland PHN was one of only six Primary Health Networks nationally to receive the Australian Government funding of $7.4 million to pilot the project in Baw Baw and Latrobe.

The new services will be delivered to victim-survivors of family domestic and sexual violence who are experiencing mental health challenges.  Expansion of the service delivery area may be considered in due course however Latrobe and Baw Baw are currently the only eligible service delivery areas for Gippsland PHN.

Providers do not need to be based in the Latrobe and Baw Baw areas as the Model of Care allows for delivery from outside these local government areas. However, victim-survivors (consumers) must be from the Latrobe and Baw Baw areas in order to be eligible to receive services.

Resulting contracts are anticipated to run from 1 May 2024 to 30 June 2026.
