Coronavirus (COVID-19) testing remains one of the best ways to keep people safe and stay open, so anyone in Gippsland with symptoms, no matter how mild, should get tested as soon as possible.
Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) are the primary tool for early detection of COVID-19 and a positive result enables access to antivirals for those who are eligible and will benefit most. Free RATs are available from most local council offices and some libraries. You can find the location of these sites on the Victorian Government Website here.

If you have even MILD symptoms, testing is recommended.
Symptomatic testing is for people who have symptoms such as fever or chills or a respiratory sickness (e.g. cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or loss of smell.
Testing is recommended for people with onset of other clinical symptoms consistent with COVID-19: headache, muscle pain, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea.
