Cancer Council Victoria Regional Nurse Liaison

Clinical Nurse Specialist and Regional Liaison Gabby Walker will outlay the services and supports made available by Cancer Council Victoria, and give an overview of the Cancer Council Victoria referral system.

Increase access to cancer information and support for cancer patients and their families in the Gippsland region
Build relationships and partnerships with rural and regional health services and improve awareness of Cancer Council support services and programs.
Establish and embed referral pathways to cancer information and support services from the health services in the Gippsland region.

Learning Outcomes from the Session

Understand and interpret Cancer Council Victoria and Gippsland Regional Integrated Cancer Service (GRICS) referral data
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the services offered by Cancer Council Victoria, including information and referral pathways.
Identify suitable counselling services and support groups for patient referrals.
Utilise information to offer support tailored to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Communities.
Interpret and analyse referral data from Cancer Council Victoria and Gippsland Regional Integrated Cancer Service (GRICS).
