Mental Health and Wellbeing Act Update

Gippsland Primary Health Network is delighted to extend an invitation to all healthcare professionals to attend this webinar which will focus on the new Mental Health and Wellbeing Act.

Presented in collaboration with Mental Health Victoria and Gippsland PHN  this bespoke webinar will focus on local service availability and Gippsland’s unique demographics.

Held on this date to align with  World Mental Health Day 2023, the aim of which is to increase global awareness of mental health issues and encourage action in support of mental health. The day also provides an opportunity for all stakeholders involved in mental health advocacy to share their work and ideas about how we can make mental health care more accessible to all.

Learning Outcomes;

  • Discuss the changes to the Mental Health Act
  • Outline the mental health and wellbeing principles and how they are relevant to the primary sector
  • Discuss other powers relative to GPs and how this fits in to service delivery
