General practitioners (GPs) play a pivotal role in delivering palliative care in their local communities. Whether navigating the palliative system, supporting symptom management, prescribing or decision making, a collaborative approach using available government funded specialist palliative services to support practitioners’ knowledge enhances patient care.
One of Victorian Palliative Care Advice Service (PCAS) medical consultants will join with the Palliative Care Consultancy Gippsland (PCCG) to provide an informative education session on how these services can support and enhance the general practitioner’s vital role in the palliative approach to care.
The webinar aims to increase the primary health sector knowledge of available free resources to support the palliative approach to care, whilst reinforcing the vital role that general practice plays in this space.
