People bereaved by suicide may seek support from a General Practitioner.
The aim of this activity is to better equip General Practitioners to support bereaved patients impacted by suicide.
This training will provide a better understanding of the presentation of traumatic loss.
There will also be discussion on the difference between grief, trauma and depression.
Presenter: Dr Greg Roberts is a Social Worker and Counsellor who has focused almost exclusively on working with grief, bereavement and trauma since 2001 and has worked in both acute and community health settings. Greg currently works as the Victorian Manager of Support After Suicide and also has a small private practice, working as a counsellor, group facilitator, educator and clinical supervisor.
