DESCRIPTION:Murray PHN are introducing Dr Haris Noor from the Gender Clinic at Bendigo Community Health Service. This webinar is aimed at health care workers who wish to enhance their clinical practice in providing holistic care to patients who may be LGBTQIA+. It will explore the contemporary understanding of gender and sexuality, how to use the right language to improve engagement, the unique health issues affecting LGBTQIA+ patients, and how to optimise clinical management based on best practice. Presented by Dr Haris Noor, a GP at Bendigo Community Health Services whose special interests include men's health, LGBTQI+ health and transgender medicine. Dr Noor helps run the Men's Health Clinic and Gender Clinic at Bendigo Community Health Services. Learning outcomes • Discuss the diverse ways that people experience, practice and describe gender and sexuality. • Discuss ways to incorporate inclusive language in clinical practice. • Describe key health issues (including sexual health) that may affect LGBTQIA+ patients. • Describe specific sexual health issues affecting LGBTQI patients and how to manage them.
