We will be discussing a recent qualitative paper that that explores why people with eating disorders are at risk of suicide by speaking to people with a variety of lived experience. Journal article of the month Facilitator: Dr Romany McGuffog  Dr Romany McGuffog is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Australian National University. Currently, they work with Prof Elizabeth Rieger exploring interpersonal factors and eating disorders. Romany's PhD investigated sleep as a mediator of the relation between social class and health across four studies of higher education students.Since then, Romany has worked in various areas exploring the intersection of social contexts and health, including investigating the mental health and wellbeing of small business owners, evaluating the effectiveness of postvention initiatives in NSW secondary schools, and exploring the ethical conduct of research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
