High-quality clinical photographs can play an important role in telehealth, clinical documentation and communication between healthcare professionals. However, achieving images that are clinically useful requires more than simply taking a photograph. Clinicians also need to consider image quality, patient consent, privacy, secure storage and appropriate governance. This webinar will bring together expertise in digital photography, rural general practice, plastic surgery and medico-legal practice to provide practical guidance on taking, using and managing clinical photographs safely and effectively. Apply medico-legal principles relating to privacy, data security, storage and governance of clinical images in accordance with relevant Australian requirements.
