Gippsland Women’s Health (GWH) are the lead organisation for gender equality, women’s health promotion, prevention of violence against women, and family violence system leadership throughout all of Gippsland.
The vision of GWH is to create an equal, safe and respectful Gippsland for our Women and Children. GWH welcome as members any women, or person who identifies as a woman, that supports this vision.
Safe Steps
Safe Steps connects women (this includes anyone who identify as female, including Trans and Gender diverse individuals) and their Children, with specialist support workers who can help them explore their options, develop a safety plan and access supports that allow them to live safe from family violence.
Safe Steps phone support workers can also offer information and assistance to individuals concerned for someone they know who is experiencing family violence. The Safe Steps phone line is open 24 Hours a day, 7 days a week, everyday of the year including public holidays. Or visit www.safesteps.org.au

The National Sexual Assault, Domestic and Family Violence counselling service can link you to local supports and provides immediate counselling 24 hours a day. You can call this line if you are experiencing violence or concerned about a friend or family member who is experiencing violence.
