Latrobe Community Health Service has a range of alcohol and other drug services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples throughout Gippsland. These include care and recovery coordination, counselling, non-residential withdrawal and planning.
Whether it is a one-off visit to the doctor or intensive physiotherapy sessions, Latrobe Community Health Service can help. It also offers a range of nursing services, counselling and psychology services, nutrition advice, occupational therapy and podiatry. LCHS has offices across Gippsland from Warragul to Bairnsdale.
Aboriginal Liaison Officer
Provides Koori Liaison Officers in program areas across the organisation to support Aboriginal community members to easily access services.
Latrobe Community Health Service runs the Gippsland Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS), which assesses eligibility for care in an aged care home and for other Commonwealth-funded programs such as packaged care. If you’re eligible for a home care package, we can help you coordinate the services you need to help you remain at home and in your community for as long as possible. We also run planned activity groups that meet to enjoy doing things together in a friendly and supportive environment. Many of these services are offered throughout Gippsland.
