GEGAC’s Alcohol and Drug Services provide case management, support and counselling for Aboriginal people with alcohol and drug issues in Latrobe, Baw Baw and East Gippsland catchment areas.
Linkages programs provide assistance with connections to agencies and programs to provide the necessary help needed to access service treatments. Some service agencies GEGAC is linked with are Ngwala, LCHS, Ramahyuck, Anglicare,
Koorie Courts, Justice and DHHS.
Alcohol and drug workers provide assessment, support, counselling and referral for Aboriginal people with alcohol and drug issues. These referrals can lead to rehabilitation and treatment programs and accommodation and support in public
and private housing sectors.
Alcohol and drug nurses (Bairnsdale) provide health assessments and withdrawal support for Aboriginal people with alcohol and drug issues.
Koori Youth on the Move program provides young local community members with the opportunity to attend group activities, outings and educational sessions in a safe, welcoming and culturally appropriate environment.
