Free flu vaccinations for June 2022

The Victoria Government has announced a four-week free flu vaccine program for June.

General practices and pharmacies will be able to offer the influenza vaccine to all patients that are not eligible under the National Immunisation Program.

This program will run from 1-30 June. Key details are as follows:

  • General practices and pharmacies will be able to claim $25 per patient from the State Government. The system for practices to register for this incentive is under development however practices can still offer this free vaccine from the 1st of June. Practice are to keep a record and then claim this when the system is live
  • A $2000 one off payment will also be available to assist with workforce
  • Patients that do not have a Medicare card are recommended to go to a pharmacy where they will not be charged a gap payment.
