September is fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) Awareness Month – a time to increase understanding of a lifelong disability that is often misunderstood or overlooked. FASD is caused by prenatal alcohol exposure, which can affect development of the brain, body and organs.

The Victorian and Tasmanian Primary Health Network Alliance (VTPHNA) is now the PHN Southern Alliance, following the welcome admission of Adelaide Primary Health Network.
Adelaide PHN joined in April 2026, which means the Alliance now comprises eight PHNs and operates across three states.
