Please get tested if you meet the COVID-19 testing criteria

COVID-19 testing has stepped up in Gippsland following the detection of positive cases with the total number of active cases currently at 38.

Latrobe City has 24 active cases, Baw Baw five, Bass Coast four, South Gippsland three and Wellington two.

Our Gippsland Respiratory Clinics are increasing capacity with Baw Baw Clinic opening this Saturday and Sunday, 2 and 3 October, from 9am-5pm. The Latrobe Valley Clinic in Morwell is open on Saturday from 9am-2pm. For booking details and opening times for all clinics, click here.

All clinics can increase capacity if the demand rises.

The Gippsland Region Public Health Unit provides daily updates on the current situation, including testing sites and exposure sites. Anyone who has visited Tier 1 exposure site during the times listed in the update must immediately isolate, get a COVID-19 test and quarantine 14 days from the date of exposure regardless of the result. Anyone who has visited a Tier 2 exposure site during the times listed should get a COVID-19 test and isolate until they receive a negative result.

Anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, should get tested immediately.
