The alcohol-related death rate across Gippsland is the highest in Victoria

GPs in Gippsland have reported:

  • consulting a drug related patient at least once per week
  • contacting specialists for advice on treating drug-related issues multiple times per week
  • they’d like more education and resources around AOD related issues

A platform with Evidence-Based Resources created by Health Professionals for Health Professionals!

Training and resources covering:

  • knowledge and implementation of AOD referral pathways in the Gippsland region
  • building rapport and trust quickly with AOD patients
  • a holistic approach to AOD treatment (Physical, psychological and emotional treatment)
  • medication available for GPs to prescribe
