Indigenous Dual Diagnosis service

The aim of the Indigenous Dual Diagnosis (IDDS) Service is to contribute to an innovative, effective and quality mental health and AOD service for the Gippsland community and work towards the following objectives:

  • Increasing the service delivery capacity of the AOD sector in the provision of culturally appropriate drug and alcohol and mental health services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons;
  • Improving the effectiveness of AOD and mental health treatment services for Indigenous persons, by increasing awareness of mental health and AOD conditions and services for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community.

Referral into this program is direct to provider.
