Gippsland PHN has engaged with local communities, health services and community care organisations to codesign a Youth Enhanced Program in Gippsland. This engagement informed the Request for Tender which is now open via TenderLink. Gippsland PHN is now seeking one or more experienced providers to deliver the Youth Enhanced Program from 1 January 2024 until 30 June 2025 with the opportunity to extend up to a further 12 months at the sole discretion of Gippsland PHN, subject to contract performance and available funding.
Gippsland PHN’s total budget for this procurement, including all expenditure and including but not limited to travel and accommodation, is up to a maximum of $950,000 (exclusive of GST) across the whole of Gippsland for the initial contract period of 1 January 2024 to 30 June 2025.
If an option to extend a contract is made available, at the sole discretion of Gippsland PHN and subject to contract performance and available funding, discussions regarding additional budget for the extension contract period of 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 will occur with successful tenders during the contract management phases.

Tenderers should address the evaluation criteria detailed in the RFx Tender Specification document. A completed Application Form, along with any other relevant documentation, must be uploaded to Gippsland PHN’s TenderLink portal by the closing time of 5 PM AEST on Wednesday 11 October 2023.

Gippsland Primary Health Network is partnering with Monash Rural Health to learn more about the health needs of people who don’t access health care, even if they have health issues.
The feedback and engagement will inform the Gippsland PHN Health Needs Assessment.
Gippsland PHN is inviting not-for-profit organisations and community groups who operate in Bass Coast, South Gippsland, Latrobe, Baw Baw, Wellington and East Gippsland local government areas to apply for grants of $500 to help support recruitment of participants for the study.
Eligible not-for-profit organisations and community groups must be connected to people at risk of poor health outcomes who are not accessing health care.
Gippsland PHN is particularly interested in hearing from organisations and groups supporting people with multiple barriers for access, including people:
Participants that are identified by organisations and community groups will be invited to take part in a 30-45 minute guided conversation or a 60-90 minute group discussion with a researcher.
An anonymous survey option will also be made available.
They will also be offered a choice of a $50 supermarket voucher or a donation to a local charity, as acknowledgment and appreciation of involvement.

The Victorian Government’s Doctors in Secondary Schools initiative provides funding for general practitioners and practice nurses to provide medical advice and health care in their school environment. More information on the program is available here and the program guidelines can be found here.
