Lived Experience Workforce Grants available

Applications for the second round of the Lived Experience Workforce Grants Program close at COB Monday 28 March 2022.

This program aims to upskill current lived experience workers at approved Victorian Government-funded community-managed mental health services. There are grants on offer of up to $5000 for individual workers and up to $20,000 for organisations.

If you need inspiration or are looking for ideas for how these grants might support the development of lived experience workers in your organisation, check out the story of Wellways Peer Trainee Coordinator Anita Conlon.

Anita conducted a simple audit of training needs within Wellways’ peer cadets cohort, and targeted her successful grant application towards filling those gaps.

“This was an opportunity for me and for the other peer workers at Wellways to gain some additional skills,” she says, “so that we can develop our potential as peer leaders,” Anita said.
