Gippsland’s multicultural communities often face significant challenges that can affect their health and wellbeing. These challenges can include language barriers, stigma and discrimination, limited community support, and difficulties navigating unfamiliar health and social service systems. In response, Gippsland PHN has commissioned the Multicultural Health Connector Program. This program aims to reduce barriers to primary health care for people from migrant and multicultural backgrounds by offering safe, inclusive, and culturally competent support to access and navigate the Australian healthcare system.
This free service is available to people from migrant and multicultural backgrounds living in Gippsland. The program can assist with:
The Multicultural Health Connector Program launched in mid-2025 and is accepting referrals. Services are delivered in Morwell, via outreach at Latrobe Community Health Service (LCHS) satellite sites across all six Gippsland local government areas, and through telehealth.

The Multicultural Health Connector Program is delivered by Latrobe Community Health Service (LCHS) with funding from Gippsland PHN.
