Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic

Specialist care for people living with endometriosis and persistent pelvic pain in Gippsland

The Gippsland Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic is one of a national network of 33 clinics supported by funding from the Australian Government. The clinic provides specialist, coordinated care for people living with endometriosis, persistent pelvic pain, and related conditions across Gippsland.

Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. Symptoms may include chronic abdominal or pelvic pain, heavy or irregular bleeding, bloating, fatigue, infertility, and associated mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression. An estimated 14% of Australian females are affected, with an average diagnostic delay of 6.5 years.

The Gippsland clinic delivers a multidisciplinary, GP-led model of care, focused on improving quality of life through timely assessment, treatment, care coordination, and access to allied health support.
