Accessing Care Update

Update 30 January 2026 10:50am: Gippsland PHN has commissioned HealthAccess after-hours GP telehealth to continue operating extended hours for an additional week, through to Friday 6 February 2026. Please see updated operating hours below.

Update 23 January, 2026 6:13pm:
Following the closure of the Leongatha Health clinic (14 Koonwarra Rd, Leongatha), Gippsland PHN is working closely with the community, Leongatha Hospital, local service providers, and both the Victorian and Australian Governments to support continuity of access to essential primary health services.

We recognise this closure has increased demand for services in the area. To help manage immediate demand pressures during this period, Gippsland PHN have commissioned HealthAccess after-hours telehealth GP care to temporarily increase its operating hours.

This is a short-term option to support access to care and meet immediate care needs.

HealthAccess after-hours GP telehealth

HealthAccess provides free access to a registered GP by phone or video for Gippsland residents.

Temporary extended operating hours (30 January to 6 February 2026)
• Friday 30 January: 8am-10pm
• Saturday 31 January: 8am-10pm
• Sunday 1 February: 8am-10pm
• Monday 2 February: 9am-10pm
• Tuesday 3 February: 9am-10pm
• Wednesday 4 February: 9am-10pm
• Thursday 5 February: 9am-10pm
• Friday 6 February: 9am-10pm
