The Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) invites you to join us for a workshop on Demystifying the Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS): creating a culture of proactive information sharing in organisations. In this session, we will hear from the Department of Fairness, Families and Housing (DFFH) about their processes managing information sharing requests. We will also have a Q&A with a panel of experts including representatives from Anglicare Victoria (AV) and 54 reasons (formerly Save the Children).
About our cross-sector collaborators:
As Australia’s leading child rights organisation, 54 reasons have been hosting CISS workshops to support professional collaborative practice and child wellbeing outcomes within organisations and their local networks.
Anglicare Victoria (AV) is the state’s leading provider of out-of-home care services for children and young people. A representative from AV’s Embedded Youth Outreach Program will be joining us for this session.
What are the outcomes of the session?
•Develop a better understanding of when to share information using CISS or make a mandatory report to Child Protection
•Learn how CISS can support child wellbeing and safety when there is a shared understanding of CISS across services/workforces
•Get a behind the scenes insight into how DFFH manages information sharing requests
•Hear from our panel of experts on how they use CISS in a multi-service setting
