Access to ovarian and testicular tissue cryopreservation for children and adolescents unable to access standard fertility preservation methods
The In Time Program is a national service, run out of the Royal Women’s Hospital, that supports healthcare professionals, patients and families in navigating fertility preservation discussions and referrals at the time of a cancer diagnosis. We provide education, clinical support, patient resources and coordination of fertility preservation pathways to ensure that patients have timely access to information and appropriate options before commencing gonadotoxic treatment.

Dr Genia Rozen
Fertility Specialist and Medical Lead for In Time tissue cryopreservation service Royal Women’s Hospital
Dr Rozen is a Melbourne trained Gynaecologist and Fertility specialist with a special interest in medical fertility preservation. She is the medical lead for In Time and works clinically in Reproductive Services at the Women’s as Deputy Director of the Fertility Preservation Service. Genia is a clinical lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne, where she also completed a PhD into endometrial receptivity and uterine effects of cancer treatment.
Dr Debra Gook
Senior Research Scientist in Reproductive Services and Head of Cryopreservation Services, Royal Women’s Hospital
With an honorary appointment at the University of Melbourne, Dr Gook is internationally recognised for pioneering fertility preservation, including the world’s first human egg bank and advancements in ovarian tissue cryopreservation. Her current research focuses on making ovarian tissue transplantation safe for cancer survivors, particularly children and adolescents, by developing techniques to remove malignant cells and create artificial ovaries.
Aisling Murphy
Clinical Midwife Consultant; In Time Program Coordinator, Royal Women’s Hospital
Aisling is an Irish-trained midwife and fertility nurse with extensive experience and interest in fertility preservation for children and young adolescents across Ireland and the UK. She has worked as the Clinical Midwife Consultant (CMC) for the Fertility Preservation Service at the Royal Women’s Hospital, leading the National Ovarian and Testicular Tissue Transport and Cryopreservation Service (NOTTCS) program nationwide. Aisling is the current CMC and programme coordinator for In Time.
