Wound Debridement – Development & Training workshop Regional Wounds Victoria Gippsland

This program is presented by the Regional Wounds Victoria Wound Management Clinical Nurse Consultants. This training is suitable for all nurses working in acute, community, GP practice & aged care.
Prior attendance at the Acute and Chronic wound training is recommended

VASCULAR ASSESSMENT OF THE LOWER LIMB
  • Differential diagnosis of venous & arterial leg ulcers
  • Clinical symptoms of PAD
  • Interpreting doppler sound and waveforms
  • Taking and interpreting a toe pressure
  • Performing a Buergers’ test
  • Lower limb assessment chart
DEBRIDEMENT
  • Modes of debridement
  • Indications & contraindications to debridement
  • Precautions for debridement
  • Introduction to Sharp Wound Debridement
  • Identification skin and body structures
  • Practice session
