Act Now for a Dementia Friendly Future

‘Act Now for a Dementia-Friendly Future’ is the theme for Dementia Action Week 2023.

From Monday 18 September to Sunday 24 September, people are encouraged to reach out to their community and learn more about the needs of people living with dementia, their families and carers who are living in your area.

Finding out that you or a family member may have dementia can be overwhelming. You might have a lot of questions. There is a lot to learn but help is available. Your local doctor can help you understand what may happen next, and how to find the information and help that you, your family, or friends may need.

Gippsland PHN has developed Gippsland specific dementia information for consumers and carers which includes downloadable dementia brochures, resources and local supports. Brochures are available in Italian, Greek, Chinese and Vietnamese.
