Bushfire Mental Health Program

The Bushfire Mental Health Program provides mental health support to individuals and families, impacted by the 2019-20 bushfires in East Gippsland.

This program is delivered in partnership by the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV).

Services:

  • The Bushfire Recovery Counselling and Support service provides free and confidential counselling and support to individuals and families affected by the bushfires in far East Gippsland. The evidenced-based counselling sessions are provided either face-to-face in Cann River and Mallacoota, or via a secure telehealth platform to improve accessibility.
  • The Social Outreach Service is a free program aimed at improving wellbeing via social connection. The team provides individual, group and community support by fostering relationships and providing opportunities to connect with others.
