Creating a healthier, better connected Gippsland.

Funding round for mental health supported housing

The Mental Health Supported Housing Round will provide grants to Community Housing Agencies (CHAs) for well progressed development and construction projects to deliver social housing for Victorians living with mental illness.

The Request for Proposal closes on 30 June 2022. For more information see https://vic.gov.au/social-housing-growth-fund-mental-health

The funding follows the release of Adult Co-design Final Report April 2022.

Homes Victoria undertook a co-design process between October 2021 to February 2022 to inform development of a Housing and Support model for people living with mental illness who require ongoing, intensive treatment, care and support. This work is in response to Recommendation 25 of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health system.

One of the health priorities of Gippsland PHN is “Factors affecting health” which includes social determinants such as housing. For more information about Gippsland PHN’s priorities, go to https://gphn.org.au/what-we-do/health-planning-research-and-evaluation/population-health/our-priorities/
