Many eye conditions are preventable if detected or treated early. This is an opportunity for Gippsland general practices to apply for funding to help develop and implement improvements in the identification and referral of patients at risk of eye disease to eye health professionals.
The grants include workforce education and training along with a focus on increasing engagement with local optometrists and ophthalmologists. Each general practice will receive an incentive payment of $7,000.
