Help shape Gippsland’s next Reconciliation Action Plan – join Gippsland PHN’s Reconciliation Action Plan Community Guidance Group

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community members across Gippsland are being invited to apply for Gippsland PHN’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Community Guidance Group for a three-year term, helping to inform the organisation’s next reconciliation action plan.

Help shape the future

A vital part of developing the next RAP is listening to the voices of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples across Gippsland. Community insight, lived experience, and cultural knowledge are essential in guiding meaningful and lasting change.

Whether your experience is professional, community-based, or lived – your perspective is valuable.

About the RAP Community Guidance Group

This group will play an important role, helping to inform and shape Gippsland PHN’s reconciliation journey. We are looking for individuals who:

• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
• Have an interest in health and wellbeing outcomes
• Are passionate about improving policies, procedures and planning
• Have strong community connections with Gunaikurnai and/or Bunurong peoples and a desire to make a difference

Gippsland PHN acknowledges the Gippsland region includes Country of the Gunaikurnai and Bunurong peoples, while also noting some areas remain subject to contested land claims.

What’s involved

• Quarterly meetings, with occasional additional sessions if required
• Opportunity to contribute to meaningful change in regional health care
• Remuneration of $100 per hour (ex GST) for meeting participation

To help us understand your background and interest, the application form includes a few short questions about your experience, community connections and motivation for joining the group.
