A series of Health Needs Assessment workshops will give people living and working in Gippsland the opportunity to shape the future of health in our region.
The Health Needs Assessment workshops, facilitated by Gippsland Primary Health Network (PHN) are open to everyone in the Gippsland community who have used or interacted with the health system.
The workshops will help Gippsland PHN make data-driven decisions about primary healthcare improvements, using information from people in Gippsland to help us focus on what is most needed.
The insights gained during the workshops will enable Gippsland PHN to understand current and future health needs, and plan for the future.
Gippsland PHN CEO Amanda Proposch said the Health Needs Assessment workshops were an important tool to shape Gippsland PHN‘s areas of strategic focus.
“Our vision and purpose is for a measurably healthier Gippsland, and this work enables us to identify and address the primary health needs in our region.” Ms Proposch said.
“Our work as a PHN includes strategic planning, commissioning services, supporting general practice and other health care providers in continuous improvement, and designing programs to facilitate seamless care.
“Building an integrated system of health that considers multiple, interconnected factors across the lifespan inclusive of community, carers and consumers is critical.”
At the Health Needs Assessment workshops, Gippsland PHN will share local health data and insights. Community members and professionals who attend will have an opportunity to share their ideas and experiences, and identify priorities for improving primary health care.
