Creating a healthier, better connected Gippsland.

Managing COVID-19 at home

Most people who get COVID-19 can manage their symptoms at home – just like they do with a cold or flu. You could get a cough, runny nose or lose your sense of taste and smell.

It’s important to be ready – just in case. So here’s what you need to prepare a COVID-ready ‘kit’ for managing your symptoms at home.

  • You should ensure proper hygiene to slow the spread at home, stay in your room as much as possible and limit numbers in your house. And remember to rest if you need it.

  • We need to keep our emergency departments and ambulance services free for those who really need them. Only call 000 if it is an emergency.
