Creating a healthier, better connected Gippsland.

Be part of the COVID-19 conversation

Community from diverse backgrounds are being sought to contribute to a discussion about how we should deal with the ongoing changes and uncertainty relating to COVID-19 and the interplay between personal and social responsibility.

The Health Issues Centre (HIC) is convening the forum to explore what people feel they can manage themselves and what they expect from their work/education environments, entertainment venues, healthcare settings and government.

The forum is part of the Optimise Study which is seeking to better understand how the community is managing and responding to COVID-19 and the measures introduced to stop its spread. The findings from the forum will be used to inform Australian Department of Health planning.

HIC is reaching out to people who are from, work with or represent one of the following groups:

  • People with disabilities
  • Seniors
  • Young people
  • Culturally and linguistically diverse people
  • People who are immunocompromised

Compensation of a $50 voucher is being offered to community members who take part to thank them for their efforts and contribution.
