Gippsland-based general practices can now access free, high-quality learning resources to support the safe and effective use of medicines, build clinical skills, strengthen communication and improve patient care.
The new Quality Use of Medicines Hub (QHUB) platform offers a range of practical learning options, including virtual education sessions, peer learning, practice audits and tools to support shared decision-making. All activities are CPD-accredited and available at no cost through Medcast.
This initiative is delivered in partnership with Gippsland PHN, Monash University and the Quality Use of Medicines Alliance to support better prescribing and patient outcomes in general practice.
The benefits of using QHUB include:
- Free, evidence-based educational activities and resources
- Access to educational content, including whole-of-practice virtual or face-to-face educational visits, online learning modules, mini-audits, webinars, podcasts and blogs
- Downloadable resources to support whole-of-practice quality improvement, including clinical guides, decision aids, conversation starters and care plans
- GPs and other health care professionals can choose to engage with as much or as little content as they wish
- GPs who sign up for a free Medcast account can claim CPD hours for most activities
Sign up for a free Medcast account here or log in with your existing details to view what is on offer. New content will be available on the platform in early July 2026.
