Scholarships for graduate mental health nurses

The Victorian Government has announced an $18.6 million investment in more graduate mental health nurses across mental health system.

This funding will support 150 full-time equivalent graduate mental health nurse positions and 49 nurse educator positions across 18 public health services in 2022.

Increasing the number of graduates will ensure that mental health nurses remain the cornerstone of our mental health system delivering treatment, care and support to Victorians.

Applications have also opened for the 2022 Victorian Postgraduate Mental Health Nurse Scholarship program. The program aims to develop specialty skills and help prepare nurses for advanced clinical leadership roles.

The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) administers the scholarship program on behalf of the Victorian Government.
