Victorian suicide prevention and response strategy open for consultation

The new Victorian suicide prevention and response strategy is open for consultation and comment.

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Division in the Victorian Department of Health is partnering with people with lived experience and their families, carers and supporters, to develop the new strategy.

It is also seeking advice from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and a range of sectors and industries, workplaces, and the broader community to develop the strategy.

Public consultation is now underway to support the development of the Victorian suicide prevention and response strategy.

Interested people and organisations can visit Engage Victoria to participate. The consultation is now open and will close on Monday 29 August.

For more information about the strategy and our engagement process, visit the Department webpage. If you have any further questions about the consultation process, please contact the Suicide Prevention and Response Office: suicide.prevention@health.vic.gov.au.
